There are
plenty of ways to get to Cambodia from Saigon. One of
those becoming popular is by boat through the Mekong Delta. This
way will save much of your time and also bring a chance for you
to see one of the most interesting parts of Vietnam: Mekong
Delta. Trip starts from Saigon and concludes in Phnom Penh and
Angkor Vat.
Day 1 : Arrival in Saigon
Arrival in Saigon,
pick up and transfer to hotel, time to relax. Ovenright in hotel
in Saigon
Day 2: Saigon - Cai Be - Can Tho (L)
Departing
Saigon at 0800, head south to Cai Be. On arrival board a boat
for a journey through the town’s floating market. Cruise through
the secluded canals to an island where we stop to enjoy seasonal
fruits & lunch break before our boat takes us to Vinh Long where
we get back on the bus for our trip to Can Tho overnight.
Day 3: CanTho -
ChauDoc. (B,L)
An early start
for a boat cruise to Cai Rang and Phong Dien floating markets.
Bus continues to ChauDoc with a stop over at the stork garden
near Thot Not. Late pm hike up to Sam mountain with its
panoramic view over the vast plains into Cambodia. Overnight in
ChauDoc.
Day 4 : Chau
Doc - Phnom Penh (B,L)
This morning we
will have a boat ride from Chau Doc to Phnom Penh departing at
8am. The boat takes us along the Mekong River. It continues on
to the Vietnamese (Vinh Xuong) - Cambodian (Kaom Samnar) border
and then to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodia. The journey takes
approximately 4 hours. Arrival transfer our hotel in Phnompenh,
the capital of Kingdom of Cambodia. A visit to Phnom Penh is a
very interesting experience indeed. It is a city with an
interesting pulse and it gives you a very true taste of Asia.
We will visit the Wats Phnom, National museum, silver Pagoda
and Royal Palace. Overnight in Phnom Penh.
Day 5 : Phnom
Penh – Siem Reap (B,D)
After your
sumptuous breakfast, take an interesting speed-boat ride to Siem
Reap (around 5 hours). On the way, see the scenic scenery of the
Cambodian rural life-style along the riverbank (optional by
air). Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for a short
relaxation. In the afternoon,
Carry on with the excursion to
the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of
Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King Afternoon visit to
world-famous Angkor Wat. Watch the impressive sunset from Phnom
Bakheng. Diner and overnight in Siem Reap
Day 6 : Angkor Wat – Small & Grand circuit (B,L)
Start your day
with the visit to the Grand Circuit to see Prasat Kravan, East
Mebon, Pre Rup and Preah Kan and the Small Circuit to see
Banteay Kdei, Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Ta Keo, Thommanon, and
Chausay Tevoda. Overnight at the hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 7 : Anglor
Wat – Roluous – Boat trip on Tonle Sap (B,L)
ing visit to
Roluos Group including Prasat Preah Ko, Bakong, Lo Lei. In the
afternoon, take an appealing boat trip on the Tonle Sap to see
the fisherman villages and visit the Siem Reap Market.
Day 8 : Siem
Reap departure (B)
Free at your
own leisure until transfer to the airport for departure flight.
